Day 116 ~ Tulips, Tulips, Tulips

Wow, I have just never seen as many tulips in one place as I did on the grounds of this place where a conference I attended was held. They really are hard to miss and not appreciate.

Day 79 ~ Long Practices

My sons football practices are about 2 1/2hrs long. On this night I actually fell asleep for about 20min sometime during practice while my daughter picked flowers. She is the one who put them in the bottle and arranged them. I only wish the pic did her artwork justice.

Day 74 ~ Bluebonnets

I first saw these on the 7th but was unable to stop and take a picture of the first bluebonnets of the season. I have yet to find them in mass enough to get the annual picture of my children in them but they are always worth noting.

Day 61 ~ A lovely Sign/Scent of Spring!

As I returned to work today after being out sick four days the previous week I was delighted to see and smell the Mountain Laurels in bloom. It's pretty early in the year to see them which is only disappointing because that means they will be gone early too!

Day 51 ~ Spring is Blooming

These are not the first blooms I have seen. . . this is definitely a benefit to living in South Central Texas but these roses smelled wonderful and brought back many memories of the rose bushes at the house I grew up in and the rose perfume my neighbor and I used to make in her backyard.

Day 43 ~ Birthday "Drink"

On my birthday I received many gifts from coworkers and hands down the one that shocked and awed me the most was the floral margarita that the girls on shift got for me. I do love a good margarita and they know it so to have integrated something special to me into the bday gift was too sweet. It was unique to say the least. :)
